Hand Wash Them to Remove Visible Stains

These bags are particularly breathable because to the mesh material that either makes up part or all of their construction. Because mesh lets air and dry out your wet clothing, it is the ideal option if you have to leave your gear in your bag after a workout even if you should try to avoid doing so.
If you are uneasy about washing your shin guards in the washing machine, an alternative would be to let them soak in a pail of soapy water for a while. You just need to make sure the water is on the warmer side, add some detergent, and check to see that it’s sudsing up before you move on.
In general, you should let them soak for somewhere between 15 and 20 minutes, since this should be sufficient to kill off the majority of the germs.
Hang Them Out to Dry
You can’t just wash your shin guards and then put them back in your luggage; you have to give them some time to dry before putting them away in their proper spot.

Can You Wash Shin Guards in Washing Machine?
This is a question that is asked rather frequently. An excessive amount of moisture can ruin the leather fibers, causing the leather to become misshapen, wrinkled, and flaky. Because they take in a greater amount of perspiration and ambient moisture in hot and humid climates, shin guards tend to fall apart more quickly in these kinds of environments. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that putting your gear in the washer is not the best answer. Even if you use the delicate cycle in the washing machine, the shin guards are still likely to sustain some damage due to their rigidity. This is true even if you use the cycle. Don’t even consider putting it in the dryer. The heat will simply speed up the process of falling apart.
Having said that, the difficulty of eliminating any lingering odor from your shin guards by soaking them in water and then drying them will increase if you are determined to use this method. If you choose to dry your shin pads inside, they will absorb a significant amount of moisture, which will make it more difficult for them to dry entirely than if you dried them outside. This makes it more likely that bacteria will start to breed, which will result in a musty odor. Therefore, it is better to avoid washing unless the weather is completely warm and sunny.
